The October meeting of Wretham Council saw the very well attended Installation of Comp Kevin Spencer as Thrice Illustrious Master. Kevin, who became the Provincial Grand Master for the Mark Master Masons of Staffordshire and Shropshire last year, thoroughly enjoys all of his masonry and in particular the Order of Royal & Select Masters. In his spare time (?) he is also Captain of his golf club.

The outgoing TIM, Ill Comp John Handley, the District Grand Lecturer, unfortunately tested positive for covid earlier in the week so wasn’t able to attend. Fortunately, it didn’t affect him too badly and he soon recovered. To take his place Wretham members Ill Comps Richard Barker (District Grand Treasurer) and Chris Denley (District Grand Recorder) stepped into the breach, with Richard opening and closing the meeting and Chris conducting the Installation ceremony.

Kevin appointed and invested Ill Comp Prof Rob Ashford (PDistGCofC) as Deputy Master and Comp Chris Wanley as Principal Conductor of the Work. Two joining members, Comps Bill Davies and Paul Rowlands were also admitted into the Council at the meeting, at which the District Grand Master R Ill Comp Peter Wellings (photographer) was also present.
