A great night was enjoyed by all present at Beauchamp Council Installation on March 4th at the wonderful Guy’s Cliffe centre. Comp Geoff Walker was successfully installed in to the chair as Thrice Illustrious Master by Ill Comp Paul Fernandez-Montes, who immediately took over as Recorder of the Council.
Ill Comp Peter Stokes, formerly the Recorder, became Deputy Master, whilst Comp David Greenwood was invested as Principal Conductor of the Work. This may seem something of an upheaval, sadly caused by the untimely loss of Ill Comp Richard Ainsworth earlier in the year.

Geoff installed his team of Officers in his usual careful and thoughtful manner, including the District Grand Master, R Ill Comp Peter Wellings, who retained his valued office as Treasurer.
Ill Comp Chris Denley, District P.C.W., presided at the meeting, as although our DGM was present, as a member of the Council, he happily requested that Chris preside for the meeting.
Ill Comp Brian Glover was congratulated on the news of his upcoming appointment in Grand Rank as Past Grand Sword Bearer, in recognition of his sterling work for the Council and in and around the District over the last several years.
Following the meeting, a superb meal was enjoyed, and a great deal of laughter throughout. Many thanks to all those who made the effort to come along.
The photograph below shows most of those present at the meeting, including good support from other Councils and District Officers.
