Thursday 26th February saw only the second full meeting of Carolean Council No 347 at the West Bromwich Masonic Hall.
The District Grand Master, being the first Thrice Illustrious Master of the Council, presided over the meeting which was a little longer than is usually the case. With a Most Excellent Master Degree and a Super Excellent Master Degree, and the Installation to follow, it was an action packed meeting.
The first two ceremonies were for Comp Philip Prosser, who became a member in June, with R Ill Comp David Rawlins, Past District Grand Master occupying the Master’s chair for the Most Excellent Master ceremony. For the Super Excellent Master ceremony, Ill Comp Peter Stokes, subsequently elected the T.I.M. took on this ceremony including the unfurling of the twelve tribes performed at the appropriate stage. The District Grand Master congratulated Comp Prosser on his completion of the 3rd & 4th ceremonies.
Then came the Installation, or more correctly, the Induction of Ill Comp Peter Stokes, which was conducted in exemplary form by R Ill Comp Peter Wellings, in his capacity of Thrice Illustrious Master.
The photograph below shows almost all of those present at the meeting, with Ill Comp Peter Stokes in the centre, flanked by Ill Comp Joe McCollum (PCW) to the right, the District Grand Master on the left and Ill Comp Chris Denley on the left of the DGM.

All in all, a very successful meeting, with a good number of the Officers moving up towards the chairs.
If anyone would like to join this daytime Council, in a location that is quite different to the norm, they will be welcomed by all present.
With thanks to Ill Comp John Hayward for the photograph, and acting as Recorder for the meeting.
