Thursday 23rd April was the meeting date for the newest Council in the District – Carolean Council No 347.
For the first time, the Council experimented with having a breakfast before the meeting – all agreed that this was a great start to the day.
The Deputy District Grand Master, Ill Comp Peter Stokes, being the Thrice Illustrious Master of the Council, presided over the meeting and also jointly headed the main subject of the meeting with Ill Comp Chris Denley, Deputy Master, as well as being PCW for the District. The main item was a discussion and demonstration of the perambulations in the Royal Master degree, to show the correct way to present the major part of the ceremony. It needs to be carried out carefully so that Candidate and PCW are in the correct place at the correct time.
The District Grand Master, R Ill Comp Peter Wellings, thanked and congratulated the TIM and DM on a useful and important demonstration.
The photograph below shows all of those present at the meeting, with Ill Comp Peter Stokes in the centre, flanked by Ill Comp Joe McCollum (PCW) to the right and Ill Comp Chris Denley on the left with the District Grand Master, on the left Deputy Master.

With thanks to visiting Companion Andy Leonard for the photograph.
If anyone would like to join this daytime Council, in a location that is quite different to the norm, they will be welcomed by all present, as will visitors. The summons will be circulated to all members prior to the next meeting on Thursday 25th June.
