Our District Grand Master was present at the recent Wyvern District Annual Meeting with a strong retinue of Warwickshire Officers also in attendance. The DGM is shown below with twelve visiting DGMs, supporting R Ill Comp Ken Downes, Wyvern DGM, the Ill Comp Gareth Hughes, DGM Deputy Master and Ill Comp Tony Ball, Wyvern PCW.

Our District Grand Master is shown above with other DGMs present for the Installation.
E Comp Gareth Hughes was reappointed as Deputy Master with Ill Comp Tony Ball reappointed as Principal Conductor of the Work, and a number of new District Officers appointed, as well as some reappointments.
Supporting RW Ill Comp Peter Wellings from Warwickshire were the following Ill Comps:
Peter Stokes, Deputy Master, Chris Denley, Principal Conductor of the Work, Paul Fernandez-Montes, Recorder, David Ursell, D of C, Eric Rymer, C of G, John Hayward, Almoner, Paul Harrison, Past Deputy Master and Reg Willsher and any others I may have missed.
A very well supported meeting, quickly and efficiently dealt with the business of the day, good festive board and prompt early finish. Well done to all concerned.
Thanks to John Lish, North Midlands District for the photographs.
Also, the Installation of the new District Grand Master for the London District took place shortly before the Wyvern meeting, in Mark Masons Hall, and our own DGM was present for that meeting.

Accompanying our DGM were Ill Comp Paul Fernandez-Montes, District Recorder, and Ill Comp David Ursell, District Director of Ceremonies. The Installation of R Ill Comp Simon White, the new Distrct Grand Master for London was carried out by the Grand Master, with the Deputy Grand Master and the Grand Principal of the Work assisting. This followed the retirement of Ill Comp Vincent Driver after thirteen years as the London DGM.

This all demonstrates just how much and how often our District Grand Master is frequently out all over the country, representing Warwickshire. This is in addition to attending almost every meeting of Warwickshire Councils. Peter’s dedication to his high office is obvious and his responsibilities are always uppermost in his mind.
