At the May meeting of Phipps Dorman Council No 32, Comp David Coley was elected as Thrice Illustrious Master, for Installation in October. Comp Mark Rea, Principal Conductor of the Work was unable to be present, and deputising for him was Ill Comp Geoffrey Lates, with the meeting being presided over by Ill Comp David Ursell, T.I.M.
The meeting took place after a hearty breakfast, and included a very interesting paper featuring Ahishar, who was known as ‘Keeper of the Household’, that being King Solomon’s Temple, a very important post, and was very well received. Thanks to Ill Ed Loft for his presentation, and to Ill Comp John Handley, originator of the paper.
The DGM congratulated those who were recently appointed or promoted at Grand Council, with a special mention for one of the most frequent visitors to many Council in the District – Ill Comp Brian Glover, who was present at this meeting, as shown in the photograph.

All in all, a very pleasant meeting on a Saturday morning, and enjoyed by all present.
