Vesey Council 227 – Select Master and Double Royal MasterThe Vesey Council July meeting was a full meeting with a further candidate becoming a Royal Master, and followed immediately by two Select Master ceremonies. The new member, now Companion Dewi Jones was chosen as a Select Master in splendid form, and was then accompanied by Comp Andy Leonard, who only joined last month, for the Royal ceremony. For the Select ceremony, Ill Comp James Freakley took the Chair and Ill Comp David Evans, TIM, presented the history of the degree. In the Royal ceremony, the TIM, David Evans presented the Chair work, and the perambulations, which were excellently carried out by Adrian Middleton, PCW, followed by David Evans and Stephen Wright sharing the History of the degree.Later on the agenda, the long serving Ill Comp NTM was elected as an Honorary Member. He is now in a care home, and unable to continue with his masonic duties

The District Grand Master congratulated all those who took part in the ceremonies, including the candidates, and commented that a great deal of work had produced excellent ceremonies. The next meeting of the Council is on Wednesday 27th August when Comp Adrian Middleton is likely to be elected as T.I.M
