The District Grand Council of Cumberland & Westmorland held their Annual District Meeting on Saturday 14th March, with numerous Districts represented, including the District of Warwickshire. Our Deputy DGM, Ill Comp Peter Stokes was present to represent our District, together with Ill Comp John Hayward, District Grand Almoner who has connections with the Province of Cumberland & Westmorland. Peter gave greetings on behalf of the District Grand Master who was committed elsewhere.

During a very pleasant District meeting, held in the splendid Masonic Hall in Portland Square, right in the centre of Carlisle, the District Grand Master, R Ill. Comp Douglas Sanderson, appointed Ill Comp Andrew Inglesfield as Deputy District Grand Master, and as District Grand Principal Conductor of the Work, Ill Comp Chris Gabbott. He also appointed a new team of District Officers and conferred appointments and promotions in District Grand Rank.
